I would rate my novel One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, a seven out of ten. In the small town of Macondo, the Buendia family lives. Jose Arcadio Buendia helped found the town, and he is the start of many generations. Throughout generations each person in the Buendia family has many moments of prosperity and struggle. They encounter love, lust, grief, death, happiness, and most20of all, solitude. Macondo grows and prospers, but in time it becomes abandoned and a place of solitude for the last remaining Buendia. Alone and in need of comfort, he deciphers ancient documents that belonged to a gypsy friend of Jose Arcadio Buendia’s. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading fiction and novels about fantasy.
