 As Huck and Jim travel down the Ohio river trying to reach a town called Cairo they end up getting separated.  Huck makes it to shore without Jim and meets a family that offers him a place to stay for as long as he wants.  Huck end up reuniting with Jim and they begin their journey over the river once again.  They end up meeting these two men who one claims to be the duke of England and the other the son of King Louise XVI.  These two men pretty much use Huck and Jim and make their way up the river stopping at several towns coning people and taking their money.  Eventually these men are exposed and Jim ends up neing captured.  Huck ends up having to pretend to be  Tom Sawyer because Tom's Aunt and uncle think Huck is Tom and their the ones who have Jim captured and Huck has no choice but to go along.  Huck tells Tom that his family thinks that he's Tom and Tom decideds to go along with Huck and help him with Jim
