My classic Wuthering Heights is by the famous author Emily Bronte. She was a British novelist and poet and lived from 1818 to 1848 in Thorton, Britian. Emily was the second oldest in the three of the famous Bronte sisters. The other Bronte sisters Charlotte and Anne were also famous writers; and all family members are well known for their work.
At the time she lived females weren’t allowed to publish books so she had to write under the masculine pen name of Ellis Bell. Her other two sisters took Bell as their last name also because of the prejudice against women. The whole family was interested in poetry, even their father Patrick Bronte who wrote several books himself.
The only novel published by Emily Bronte was Wuthering Heights, published only a year before her death. It is sometimes said that her novel is a biography of her life, personality, and beliefs. Many=2 0of her poems are also connected to the novel because of their similar use of romance, mystical sense, and certain beliefs. Much is still not known about Emily Bronte because she kept mostly to herself, and spoke mainly through poems but she destroyed many of them right before her death. Even though Emily lived a short life, she will still always be remembered for her remarkable works of literature.
